Cancer risk lower in women with higher vitamin D concentrations

KEY POINT

Vitamin D concentrations of 40 ng/mL or higher in women 55 years of age and older were associated with a 67% lower relative risk of non–skin cancer compared with women who had concentrations of less than 20 ng/mL, according to results of a pooled analysis published online in PLoS ONE.
