Pneumococcal Vaccine Beneficial in Children with HIV Infection

KEY POINT

The safety and immunogenicity of polyvalent pneumococcal conjugate vaccines (PCVs) in infants and children with HIV infection have been largely unexplored and somewhat controversial, but two recent studies provide reassurance that these patients are benefitting from these immunizations.
