Preliminary Data: Testosterone Administration May Be Beneficial in HIV-Infected Women with Low Weight

KEY POINT

Decreased androgen levels are common in symptomatic, underweight HIV-infected women. Testosterone administration may be useful as an adjunctive therapy to maintain muscle function in these patients.
